Not quite deep tissue, therapeutic work is generally deeper and more specific than relaxation work, but it is still relaxing! We still have to work with the nervous system, so therapeutic work is tailored to each client's tolerance. Some people respond to considerably more pressure than others, it is never a 'one-size fits all' service.

This is a full hot stone treatment using stones for the entire massage, not just as a therapeutic addition to a small area (as in a therapeutic massage). Hot stones are fantastic for relaxation and decreasing muscle tension via heat therapy.

Deep tissue massage focuses on softening surface tissues to penetrate to the deeper tissues and fascia underneath. It is generally a slow, deep pressure treatment. You may need to activate some muscles to make sure we're getting to deeper fibers properly.

This is the heaviest pressure massage! Expect elbows, deep breathing, muscle activation to allow for active release of muscle fibers, and verbal check-ins. This is not a 'lie down and have a nap' treatment!

For those who cannot lie on a table comfortably, we offer treatments on a massage chair to help you get your well-deserved massage. These treatments are performed clothed and are recommended as a modification for those who cannot be comfortable lying down.
